My bf (ridiculous we were not married) of 11 years just walked out on me and the kids for his selfish reasons. So he is no help besides paying the mortgage. My car was hit while it was parked in my own driveway 4 days ago (in NY state). The police came and filed a report. I asked them for the other drivers insurance info, but they said I would have to wait for the police report and it would include that information. They advised it would be available after 5 business days at a cost of $5.00. I think the information should have been made available immediately so I could have filed a claim with the other person's insurance company. I don't suspect they will get rich by charging $5.00, so I don't know why I have to wait for the info. I am concerned that the other person's insurance will question the delay in filing the claim. Is this normal? I would really like to get my car fixed as soon as possible and am frustrated that I have to wait to get information that I think should have been immediately available. The driver that hit my car admitted to being on heavy duty prescription drugs at the time of the accident, but said that wasn't the cause of the accident. They said they had a seizure and had a documented history of seizures (which makes me think they shouldn't have a valid license anymore). The police seemed suspicious, but said they wouldn't issue any tickets as long as the person agreed to go to the hospital for treatment of seizures. I really need help finding a good health insurance option. I started my own company in 2009 and have kept it active and grew it slowly ever since. I have read all the paperwork and believe that I can still elect COBRA for my health insurance for about another month. They give you 60 days from your last day. However, I believe there has to be a better/more affordable option. I am 26 years old and healthy, but God forbid anything ever happened, I want to be covered. Getting my first motorcycle, need some help picking one out with my current financial status?

So, I'm 16, and getting a bike is basically a tradition in my family. My grandpa has been riding since he was 14, my deceased grandpa was in a biker gang called the Blue angels which was made entirely of cops, my step grandpa currently has a golden wing and has had 4-5 bikes before that. And my dad had one sport bike until he found it was inconvenient because of how tired he got after riding it [like he didn't expect it from a sport bike though, right?]. Anyways, I need help finding a bike I can afford. Seeing as it's my first bike, (and im only 16), I don't want to spend 15 grand on a bike that I'll probably end up laying down. I'm probably going to buy a used bike for under 2 grand. I'm not picky about the year and what company it was made by. But I'd prefer not to get a sport bike because of this insane insurance costs. And I'm not going to be leaving the state very often, so I don't need a touring bike. Summary; I'm leaning towards a Cruiser. And I'm not gonna be the Jack *** going 80 across the intersection while doing a wheelie, I enjoy life too much. And I've ridden a few dirt bikes before, so I have a bit of experience. Any help is appreciated for finding a bike model that I can get fairly cheap used. And I'd like something larger than 250cc, but I don't want a Ducati Monster engine... You know?

Car crash damage my insurance rights?

my 2009 vauxhall insignia was hit from behind sitting at a car park space in a supermarket,there is substantial amount of damage to the right hand arch right above the back wheel,the back bumper is also broken,it was hit that hard it was pushed onto the car park space in front of it,i believe what saved it from any further damage was the driver of the other car hit the wheel of my car which i guess cushioned the blow.i have went today and got estimates for the repair which is in the region of 2500 pounds though could be more as they have to put it on some sort of machine to see if the wheel alignment is of,the repair shops say what they will do is cut the arch out and put a new arch in and spray it but no matter what its never going to be the same.the reason they do it like this is because the whole back of my car runs to the front without any splits. Im not happy about this being done like this as this car today is worth around 10,000 pounds which i pay for and dont want it patched up,i would prefer if the other guys insurance wrote it off so that i can get an original car which i first had,is there anyway i can get this to be wrote of and claim it of the guys insurance,i have heard of depreciation money if my car has been hit but this is still not going to compensate me for my car being patched up. thanks
